previous years. The unhurried pace of the New York City public education
system and the paucity of substantive, long range programs concentrating

• Made radio appearances on major, local talk shows;
• Produced a series of radio interviews for a local, listener sponsored
radio program, “Out of the Sand”;
• Consulted with a local radio station on its debut of “It’s

violence. It was produced by the INSTITUTE ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN
COMMUNITY.
• The INSTITUTE ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY— Community
Service Award
• “It’s About Time…” is our public education
campaign and was launched on October 14, 2000, at Medgar Evers College, at
a Town Hall Meeting entitled, “Neither God Nor Caesar“
