-Community awareness is imperative to break the cycle and the silence of domestic violence.
-Women stay in violent relationships for many reasons. Some include but are not limited to:
fear, embarrassment, religion, "for the children", low self esteem, lack of financial independence.

-Signs your daughter may be in a violent relationship:
drastic change in appearance: clothes, hair, make up; refusal to participate in family activities and events, in order to be with her boyfriend; waiting around for his telephone call; isolating herself from her friends and family; failing grades; diminished involvement in extracurricular activities
